HCA Appoints Dr. Wayne J. Riley to its Board of Directors
NASHVILLE, Tenn., December 28, 2011 – HCA (NYSE:HCA) today announced that Wayne J. Riley, M.D., President and CEO of Meharry Medical College, has been named an independent director of HCA’s board, effective January 1, 2012.
Meharry Officials, SEIU Union Employees Reach Four-Year Agreement
Nashville, Tenn. --- Ranking executives of Meharry Medical College and the leadership of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) signed a collective bargaining agreement today covering Meharry’s unionized employees (janitors, tradesmen and administrative professionals).
Meharry Breaks Ground on Alumni Hall
Thanks to the “bold and expansive,” vision of Meharry’s President Dr. Wayne J. Riley, Meharry broke ground November 14 on a new Alumni Hall. The $1.6 million facility will have the capacity to seat 350 people and will be used for events and community gatherings.
