RWJF CENTER FOR HEALTH POLICY AT MEHARRY
In February 2009, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) awarded Meharry Medical College a multimillion dollar endowment to establish the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Center for Health Policy at Meharry Medical College. Meharry is the nation's largest private historically black academic health center, and RWJF is the largest philanthropy devoted solely to improving the health and health care of all Americans.
The goal of the RWJF Center for Health Policy at Meharry Medical College is to provide leadership in health policy education along with research and reform on national, state, and local levels, while continually supporting Meharry Medical College's historic mission of improving the health and health care of minority and underserved communities.

Graduating Health Policy Scholars Chart Bright Futures
The RWJF Center for Health Policy is proud to announce the 2013 graduates of the Health Policy Scholars Program. Each Scholar has successfully completed all the requirements towards a Certificate in Health Policy and will be honored during Meharry Medical College's 138th Commencement Exercises on Saturday, May 18th. With the support of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Center prides itself on training the best and brightest to become our nation's leading health policy experts, researchers, and analysts.

Family Medicine: Health Policy Scholar Reflects on National Match Day Residency Decision
Lamercie Saint-Hilaire is a graduating RWJF Health Policy Scholar, who will receive a Doctor of Medicine
degree and Certificate in Health Policy on May 18th during the 138th Commencement
Exercises. During National Match Day-held March 15 of this year-Saint-Hilaire learned
that she matched in Family Medicine at the University of California-San Francisco,
the number one ranked residency program in family medicine. Saint-Hilaire, along with
88 Meharry medical school seniors, anxiously awaited the announcement as part of an annual tradition when fourth-year medical students across the country
learn where they will live and train as medical residents.

Policy Center Notes April 2013 Issue Now Available
The April - June 2013 online issue of Policy Center Notes, the Center's quarterly publication, is now available. Policy Center Notes features the achievements and scholarly works of Fellows, Scholars and Associates, shares the latest health policy news and highlights various programs and activities sponsored by the Center.
In this issue, we spotlight Health Policy Doctoral Fellows Taylor Hargrove and Courtney Thomas and their research on racial health inequality, as well as broadcast the 2013 Summer Institute on Health Policy.
