Dean M. Harris, J.D. is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management, UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition, he was appointed as Adjunct Professor in the Health Economics and Management Institute (HEMI) in the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University. He received his B.A. degree in Asian Studies from Cornell University in 1973, and received his J.D. degree with high honors from UNC School of Law in 1981. At UNC, he teaches courses on health law, ethics, and comparative health systems. He is currently working on the development of educational resources to build capacity for health regulation in developing and transitional countries.
