Graduating Health Policy Scholars Chart Bright Futures

The RWJF Center for Health Policy is proud to announce the 2013 graduates of the Health Policy Scholars Program.  Each Scholar has successfully completed all the requirements towards a Certificate in Health Policy and will be honored during Meharry Medical College's 138th Commencement Exercises on Saturday, May 18th. With the support of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Center prides itself on training the best and brightest to become our nation's leading health policy experts, researchers, and analysts.  Below are the graduates and future endeavors after graduation.


Kevin BlytheKevin Blythe, MSPH

2010 Health Policy Scholar

School of Medicine

Degree(s) Earned: Doctor of Medicine and Certificate in Health Policy

Future Plans: Beginning this July, Kevin will be a resident at the MedStar Washington Hospital Center/Georgetown University Hospital's Emergency Medicine Residency Program, based in Washington, D.C.


Ashley HudersonAshley Huderson

2011 Health Policy Scholar

School of Graduate Studies and Research

Degree(s) Earned: Doctor of Philosophy and Certificate of Health Policy

Future Plans: Starting June 3, 2013, Ashley will be working as a tumor biology post-doctoral fellow at Georgetown University in the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center in the lab of Dr.Lucile Adams-Campbell.


Brandon MorganBrandon Morgan

2010 Health Policy Scholar

School of Dentistry

Degree(s) Earned: Doctor of Dental Surgery and Certificate in Health Policy

Future Plans: Brandon will be moving to Washington, D.C. to begin Howard University's Orthodontic Postdoctoral Dental Program.

Future Plans: Starting in July, Lamercie will be a family medicine resident at the University of California-San Francisco Medical Center.

2012 Health Policy Scholar

Degree(s) Earned: Master of Science in Public Health and Certificate in Health Policy

Future Plans: Sponsored by the Agenda 21 program initiative of the Tennessee Hospital Association, Rebbie will be an administrative intern for St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, TN.


Nadia WinstonNadia Winston

2012 Health Policy Scholar

School of Graduate Studies and Research

Degree(s) Earned: Master of Science in Public Health and Certificate of Health Policy

Future Plans: During the summer, Nadia will be an intern at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, conducting impact and outcomes research on the Healthy Aging in Neighborhoods of Diversity across the Life Span (HANDLS) Study and the Health and Retirement Study (HRS). Additionally, Nadia will be a Research Assistant for the Be Heart Smart program with Dr. Vanessa Briscoe, MSN, PhD, at Vanderbilt University.
