Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register for a class?
The Training Calendar is located in the Training Portal. You can review course descriptions and register for a class by clicking the registration link for the class of interest. After registering for a class online, you will receive an Outlook meeting invite to confirm your registration. You must accept the meeting invite for each class to confirm your registration.

The Training Portal is only accessible by Meharrians; therefore, you will be prompted for a username and password.

Username: your email address (i.e., jdoe@mmc.edu)
Password: mymmcpassword (same as your network password)

Note: If you have any problems logging in, please contact the Help Desk at 327-4357 (HELP).

Click here to visit the Training Calendar. Your online registration is HR’s authorization to enroll you in a class. Employees are strongly encouraged to check with their supervisors before registering for any training sessions.

Please register only for the number of training sessions you can reasonably attend.

What is the latest I can register for a class?
It is best to sign up for a class at least one (1) week in advance. Remember— you can always cancel your registration. If a class doesn’t meet the minimum participants requirement of six (6) within 48 business hours of the class date, the course will be cancelled.

I see that the class I want is full. Is there a wait list?
At this time we do not have the capability to waitlist for a class. However, classes are offered very frequently.

How do I cancel my registration?
If a conflict will prevent you from attending a class, please be sure to cancel your registration at least 3 business days prior to the class, so that others may attend.

Cancel your registration by selecting “decline” on your calendar entry. This will automatically send notification to Human Resources.

NOTE: If you “delete” the item versus selecting the red “DECLINE” icon, HR will not receive notification and will mark your attendance as a “No Show”.

In an effort to provide better customer service, HR reserves the right to cancel your registration if our records indicate that your attendance has been in "no-show" status. This means that there were at least 3 training sessions during any quarter for which you registered and neither showed up nor canceled your registration within 3 business days prior to the start of the class.

HR reserves the right to cancel any class due to low registration. E-mail notices will be sent to each registrant if a class is canceled.

I have missed the three (3) business days cancellation deadline, but I just found out about a meeting I am supposed to attend [or] coverage/work demands require that I stay at the office. What do I do?

We recognize that managing deadlines and schedules can present challenges. However when supervisor approval is given to register for a class, we expect departments to make necessary arrangements during the approved period of time.

Select the red “Decline” icon from your Outlook calendar entry and your late cancellation will be noted accordingly.

How much does it cost for the classes? How can I pay for these workshops?
There are no course fees for MMC employees unless otherwise indicated.

After I complete a class, will I receive a certificate of completion?
