The responsibility of the Meharry Medical College Internal Audit Department is to serve the College in a manner that is consistent with the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and with professional Standards of Conduct. These standards are set out by the Code of Ethics of the Institute of Internal Auditors and the Meharry Medical College Internal Audit Department. This responsibility includes coordinating internal audit activities to best achieve the audit objectives and the objectives of Meharry Medical College.
