Information Technology has coordinated discounted pricing with a variety of computer vendors, including Dell Computer Corporation, Gateway Computer Corporation, MicronPC Corporation, MicroWarehouse, Insight, and others. In order to obtain these discounts, departments purchasing computers need to contact IT to obtain a quote, since prices obtained from Internet web sites or other sources will normally not include the negotiated discounts.
Departments are not required to purchase any specific brand of desktop, laptop, printer or other hardware, however Meharry cannot support an infinite variety of computer configurations. Therefore we suggest minimum configurations as shown on the link to the left.
