Information Technology Telecommunications provides faculty and staff with Video-Conferencing facilities at the following 4 locations on the Meharry campus: West Basic Sciences Building - Mezzanine and 1st Floor, Surgery Administrative Facility (Old Hospital) and Information Technology - 2nd Floor Computer Center.

Using video conferencing has several strategic advantages by allowing Point-to-Point and Multi-Point broadcasts on and off campus. In addition, video conferencing provides those in attendance the opportunity to participate in long-distance meetings without physically having to attend, maintaining the benefits of face-to-face contact, eliminates travel time and expenses to departments and provides access to instruction from multiple sites.

The IT video conference facilities have available connections for using optional equipment such as:

• Smartboard
• Document camera
• VCR
• DVD
• Projector
