College Chaplain
The College Chaplain is the spiritual leader of the college community
The Office of the Chaplain and Special Advisor to the President for United Methodist Church Affairs continues to provide pastoral counseling to the administration, faculty, staff and student body on a regular basis.
The Chaplain continues to serve as the primary liaison person between the college and various entities of The United Methodist Church. In that capacity he attends meetings of the United Methodist Church at the Annual Conference, Jurisdictional and General Church levels.
College activities not related to the above responsibilities include teaching a class:
Meharry Medical College recognizes the presence and impact that God has in the lives of our students. With that in mind, we have a chaplain on staff to provide counsel and support to students that need a spiritual ear to help them cope with stresses of pursuing a professional degree.
Dr. Corry serves as our college chaplain. He is sensitive to the needs of the students and maintains the highest level of confidentiality.
