To apply for dental school at this institution, there are several pre-requisites, which must be met by December, prior to the January 15th deadline:

• Years of College: Dental Admissions requires a Bachelor’s Degree to be admitted.

1. Dental Admissions Test: Every applicant must take the Dental Admission Test (DAT).  For more information about the DAT, visit the American Dental Association's web site here.
   
   
2. Completion of an application through the American Association of Dental Schools Application Service (AADSAS). Click Here to apply online.
   
   
3. Application Deadline: January 15th of year you wish to enter.
   
   
4. Supplemental Application: Upon completion of the AADSAS, applicants must fill out a supplemental application through the link provided at the end of the AADSAS application.  At the time of completing the application on-line, a processing fee will be assessed and paid on-line.  Please do not send a separate payment to Meharry. This supplemental application allows the applicant to further describe their activities.  In the event you miss the link to the supplemental application on AADSAS, a confirmation of your electronic application will be sent to you in e-mail along with a link to the Dental Supplemental Application.

5. Letter of Recommendation: Three letters of Recommendation (Your letters must be submitted to AADSAS by January 15th deadline)
    
   Initial applications are accepted only through the AADSAS.  Information and application materials are available at www.adea.org <http://www.adea.org/> .
    
   Meharry applicants are required to send ALL letters of recommendation directly to AADSAS by the deadline of January 15th. The address to which the letters should be mailed will appear on the AADSAS Letter Request Form.
   
   Those applicants who attend, or who have recently graduated from, an undergraduate institution or a post baccalaureate predental program which offers a Health Professions Advisor or Advisory Committee should submit a letter from this person or committee; this letter should be sent to AADSAS as described above. If no such institutional letter is available, the applicant should explain this on the Meharry Medical College supplemental application and substitute a minimum of three individual letters, including two from Science professors. These letters should be sent to AADSAS as described above.
   
   
6. Photo: The Admissions Committee would prefer that you upload your photo when you are submitting your Supplemental Application.  If you are unable to upload the photo, we will accept a 2 inch x 2 inch photo with your full name and AADSAS ID on the back of the photo. Mail your photo to the address below to the attention of the Admissions and Recruitment Office.
