Membership Information

Joining

All alumni are eligible to join the Association. There are three membership categories Associates, Full, and Honorary. One may join by completing the Enrollment Form form available from the National Office and sending it along with your check or credit card payment.

Dues

Membership dues are vital to the success of the Meharry National Alumni Association. The association is dedicated to serving its members' interests by encouraging their continued involvement and participation in Meharry through various programs, services, and events.

As a member, you'll receive the newly designed Meharry National Alumni Association pin and membership card; car rental and hotel discounts; special mailings; and a special gift from the Association to say "thank you."

In addition, dues are no longer due in January, but on a year-round basis. If you choose to pay dues in November, your next dues payment will be due in November of the following year. With this year-round payment option, your membership is guaranteed to be good for the entire year.

Alumni Association dues support such programs as National Medical Association / National Dental Association Conventions activities; Commencement / Reunion activities; National Alumni Association Student Scholarship awards; chapter, alumnus, and faculty of the year awards; the publishing of the Alumni Newsletter; publication of the Alumni Calendar and funding assistance to student organizations.

TThe association recently introduced an associate membership. If you know of someone who is a supporter of Meharry Medical College but is not a graduate, he/she may become an associate member of the Meharry National Alumni Association. Associate members receive the same benefits as alumni members, except they do not hold the right to vote or to hold office. Remember, your alumni dues are not your contribution to the College. Meharry is still counting on your annual contribution.
