Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics is the branch of dentistry that specializes in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of dental and facial irregularities. Our department has 3 full time faculty members and is proud of the didactic and clinical curriculum that we present to our predoctorial students.
Our department is configured to introduce students to the specialty by imparting basic knowledge of the biological and mechanical principles governing the practice of orthodontics. The predoctorial curriculum consists of 3 semesters of academic/didactic course work and 4 semesters of clinical/laboratory experience. We consistently strive to improve the department's reputation for excellence in teaching and patient care.
