Dental Public Health provides quality instruction that is community-oriented and patient centered. The courses permeate throughout the four year curriculum.
This predoctoral dental curriculum includes the History of Dentistry, Current Issues in Dentistry, Principles of Biostatistics and Research Design, Evaluation of Scientific Literature, Epidemiology of Disease, Social Issues, and Dental Health Education. In addition, topics on Health Care Delivery Systems, Health Care Economics, Forensic Dentistry and Medicine, Geriatric Dentistry, Quality Assurance and Peer Review, Practice Management, Professional Ethics and Jurisprudence, and Behavioral Science are presented. Students participate in Extramural Rotations, Externship Programs, and Preceptorships.
