Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency

The Advanced Education Program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is fully accredited by the Commission of Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association. The program requires 48 months of full-time study.

Sponsored by the School of Dentistry, the program uses Metropolitan Nashville General Hospital for training.  Metropolitan Nashville General Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

While the program is affiliated with other instructions, the School of Dentistry accepts full responsibilities for the quality of education provided at the affiliated institutions:

The Nashville Veterans Affairs Medical Center at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee, which also sponsors its own Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Program 

The University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine at Knoxville, Tennessee, which also sponsors its own accredited Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Program
