Meharry National Alumni Association (MNAA)
The purpose of the Meharry National Alumni Association (MNAA) is to foster the interest of Meharry Medical College by promoting the art and science of medicine, dentistry; health related research, graduate studies and allied health.
The MNAA is governed by its Board of Management through the Association’s Executive Committee. The Association is managed by an executive director who reports to the MNAA President and the Board of Management. The Association is supported financially through annual dues charged to its members, gifts and support from the College.
The objectives of the Association are accomplished through implementation of programs in fundraising, student recruitment and staff support, and fostering relationships among alumni that advance the mission of the College. Fundraising is focused on increasing alumni contributions and giving participation to the College, and encouraging alumni to use their individual and collective influence to garner support for the College from friends, corporations, foundations, organizations and government entities.
Alumni are encouraged to actively recruit and refer well-qualified students to Meharry Medical College’s Schools of Dentistry, Medicine and Graduate Studies and Research. The MNAA collaborates closely with the College's Division of Institutional Advancement, and also provides support to other College staff and administration in providing a continuous flow of information about the College to alumni.
