Applicants and Admissions
Applicants to the MSCI program may apply for admission for the fall semester only. Contact the MSCI Program directly for application deadlines.
Candidates must hold a doctoral-level degree from an accredited institution. The program can include candidates as junior faculty, post-doctoral trainees such as interns and residents, and doctoral candidates who seek to combine their clinical doctorate degree with a Master of Science in Clinical who want to become independent clinical investigators.
Admission process for all applicants:
- Application for Admission to the School of Graduate Studies and Research (available on line at
- Official transcripts of all graduate work.
- Curriculum Vitae.
- Statement of Purpose. Discuss reasons for pursuing a Masters of Science in Clinical Investigation degree including a personal statement of background, clinical research training objectives and career goals including a description of proposed specific research interests (if developed) or areas of interest for consideration of future research projects and how this proposed research plan fits into your career objectives.
- Three letters of recommendation on the forms provided (http://www.applyweb.com/apply/meharry/recommend_g.pdf) and mailed by the references.
- Sponsor letter from appropriate department chair or division chief at MMC that affirms their interest in your participation and their intention to provide the required 75% protected time for training and research development.
