Basic Sciences Departments

The Basic Sciences Departments provide academic homes for faculty engaged in fundamental and translational research that addresses issues related to disparities in disease susceptibility and outcomes for minority and underserved populations, and an intellectual environment for the training of the next generation of biomedical scientists. Faculty in these departments also contribute to the educational mission of Meharry in the training of PhD students, medical and dental students, and participants in the Masters of Science in Clinical Investigation.

There are four Basic Sciences Departments
