Mission

The mission of this department is to address the molecular contributors to cardiovascular disease, defined broadly, with particular emphasis, in the future, on cardiovascular disease and women’s health, and cardiovascular consequences of HIV/AIDS and the opportunistic infections of AIDS. This research provides the venue for graduate training programs in Pharmacology and in Neuroscience. (A new emphasis in cardiovascular biology training will be developed by the new Division Chair)
