Director of Research
Division

The Department of Family and Community Medicine's Research Division focuses on primary care issues; examining the interrelationships between individuals, families, communities, and social systems. It also targets conditions and diseases commonly seen in primary care settings and areas of health disparities that disproportionately affect the medically underserved. Areas of faculty interest include: chronic disease, namely cardiometabolic disease, intentional and unintentional injury, and alcohol related illness prevention. Research also includes nutritional aspects of disease and community-based participatory research. Detailed descriptions of individual faculty interests are available in the Faculty Directory and links to articles are available in the Publications section.
