MEHARRY – STATE FARM ALLIANCE
The Meharry-State Farm Alliance was established in 2002 as a joint venture between Meharry Medical College and State Farm Insurance to reduce morbidity, mortality, and economic costs associated with motor vehicle crashes through a combination of research, education, and public policy designed to promote safe driving practices among racial and ethnic minority populations. This grant was renewed for the grant period, July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009 in the amount of one million dollars for continuing the work of the Meharry-State Farm Alliance in teen service-learning, public policy, and epidemiological and behavioral research.
