Mission

Our mission is to provide exemplary comprehensive patient care, commensurate with the heritage and mission of Meharry Medical Colleg, and to offer the highest quality educational experiences to our medical students and residents, with strong focus on health care disparities.

This department is committed to a broad range of training experiences that provide the ability to function effectively in a rural or urban underserved setting. Our physicians, faculty, staff, and residents have a responsiblity to maintain medical, educational, and administrative excellence in all of their activities, and are encouraged to develop leadership activities, which involve scholarship, presentation, and publication.
