Summer Mentorship Program

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology in conjunction with HRSA, Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP) announces the 11th Ob/Gyn Summer Mentorship Program

The summer mentorship program provides students with an opportunity to shadow Meharry physicians during a six week period that consist of lectures from physicians and community partners, clinical and lab participation and surgical observation.

Applications are being accepted for students entering the 11th and 12th grades with a sincere interest in medicine. Applicant interviews will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2008. The program will begin on Monday, June 2, 2008 and conclude on Friday, July 11, 2008 with a closing ceremony. Hours of operation for the program are from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily.

Interested students should complete the attached application and submit all required documents to the attention Sandra Williams at the following address. Incomplete applications will be discarded.
