OB Residency Mission and Goals
Our core objective is to provide an environment for excellence in the development of competent physicians who will make viable and extensive contributions in medicine, education, and research. We ensure quality education in obstetrics and gynecology with a concentration of subspecialties in gynecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, maternal fetal medicine, and urogynecology. Our faculty members are readily available and eager to provide residents with extensive training and exposure to a broad spectrum of patient approaches. It is the intent of this program to prepare residents for the future as health care professionals as well as increase the knowledge in technological advancements in medicine. At the completion of training, residents will be primed for the pursuit of subspecialty fellowships, clinical practices, management, research and academia in medicine.
To develop obstetricians and gynecologists who are competent and empathetic toward patients, and ethical and professional in the way they conduct their professional lives. To instill an attitude of scholarship, independence and self-learning as a life-long process among all residents.
