Meet the Chair

Dr. Anthony C. Disher, Chairman of the Department of Radiology, joined the staff in July 2004 from the UCLA School of Medicine and the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine where he was an assistant professor of Radiology.  His distinguished service in the field of Radiology has earned numerous honors and awards; among them are: the Doctor of the Year award from the Women of Essence, the Director's Award and the Staff Award of Honor both from the King/Drew Medical Center.

He is widely published and has done extensive research in mammography.  He served as co-principal investigator in the area of Computer-Aided Diagnosis in Digital Mammography and in the area of Improving Access to Mammograms in an Urban, Underserved Population.
