surgical residency programs under the direction of Meharry faculty. Meharry medical students also receive clerkship training at the

The Meharry Department of Surgery is committed to providing high quality patient care, while training medical students and residents in the art and science of surgery, and developing research programs in cancer, health services research and student education.
The Department is organized into the divisions of: Anesthesiology, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology-Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Urology and Research.
