The Center is named for Executive Vice Dean Pamela Canice Williams, M.D., '81, who graciously served in the School of Medicine for 16 years. Dr. Williams's legacy is multi-faceted, as she mentored some of the country's finest physicians while setting new standards for them, including the implementation of OSCE protocols and curriculum that were unparalleled before her tenure.
As an administrator, dean, clinician, and alumnus, Dr. Williams embodied the spirit of Meharry; through the Center that carries her name, her passion for the mastery of clinical skills, dedication to students, and compassion for the sick and underserved ensure that her legacy will endure.
