Pathology, anatomy and Cell Biology
The Department of Pathology's main objective is to inspire students to maintain state-of-the-art proficiency in pathology, professional responsibility, and a life-long commitment to the expanding reservoir of scientific ideas. We are committed to the delivery of the highest quality of patient care by rendering excellent state-of-the-art and world-standard pathological services, along with innovative teaching that integrates basic biological science and clinical medicine. In addition, we are committed to conducting independent and collaborative basic science and clinical research that fosters improved health outcomes and the elimination of health disparities.
Measurable goals are designed to meet these objectives and further enhance the collective ability to deliver superior undergraduate and graduate medical education; this approach ultimately delivers the best possible patient care and other service-related responsibilities.
Part of this strategy includes elective courses designed and offered with the aim of broadening the pathobiological and pathophysiological knowledge sphere of both undergraduate and postgraduate students in the health sciences. Courses are offered by prearrangement, with full participation of all members of the faculty.
