Directions to the 2013 geriatric update

The Gladys Stringfield Owen (GSO) Education Center at Baptist Hospital is conveniently located near Interstate 40. The Center is directly behind Baptist Hospital at 21st Ave. N. and Patterson St., and is easily accessible from West End Avenue, Elliston Place/Church Street and Charlotte Pike.

If you are traveling on I-65 North or I-24 West:
1) Follow signs to I-40 West.
2) Exit at Church Street/Charlotte Pike - exit 209A.
3) Go through first light (Church Street) and turn left at second light (Charlotte Pike).

If you are traveling on I-65 South or I-24 East (prior to I-24/I-65 merge):

1) Follow signs to I-65 South.
2) Exit at Charlotte Pike – exit 209.
3) Turn right at the bottom of the exit ramp; see below for directions from Charlotte

If you are traveling on I-40 East:
1) Exit at Charlotte Pike - exit 209.
2) Turn right at the bottom of the exit ramp; see below for directions from Charlotte

Directions from Charlotte Pike exit:
1) Proceed seven blocks west (away from town).
2) Turn left onto 21st Avenue (one-way street) marked with a Geriatric Update sign.
3) The GSO Education Center is two blocks ahead on your left at Patterson St., marked with a Geriatric Update Parking sign. Follow the signs to free event parking. If the Patterson lot is full, please proceed to the 21st Ave. Baptist Garage (see below).

Directions from Elliston Place/Church St.:
1) Heading toward town, turn left on 20th Ave. N.
2) Turn left on Murphy Ave.
3) Turn left on 21st Ave. N.
4) The GSO Education Center is one block ahead on your left at Patterson St., marked with a Geriatric Update Parking sign. Follow the signs to free event parking. **If the Patterson lot is full, please proceed to the 21st Ave. Baptist Garage (see below).**

Directions from West End Ave. – follow Elliston Place/Church St. directions

Drop off Entrance:
1) On 21st Ave. N., continue approx. one block past Patterson St.
2) Turn left into the circular drive marked with "Geriatric Update Drop Off."

If you get to Elliston Pl./Church St., you've gone too far.

Parking:

Please look for signs marking free Geriatric Update parking in the GSO Center parking lot on Patterson St. off 21st Ave. N. and in the 21st Ave. Baptist Garage. The entrance to the garage is just beyond the Drop-off entrance on 21st Ave. N.
