The Office of Faculty Affairs and Development supports faculty by providing oversight of appointments, promotions and tenure. The office serves to support faculty through mentoring for personal and career development. The office is also the Dean's focus point for the Faculty Council.

The Board of Trustees adopted the following resolution:
Resolved that:
- Faculty members whose appointment will not be renewed must be notified no less than 6 months in advance.
- The Board of Trustees reaffirms that it retains the final authority to determine the rules and regulations regarding faculty appointment, promotion, and tenure.
