Professional Education

Dr. Singh earned his medical degree from Sawai Man Signh Medical College in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. In 1986 Dr. Singh did his post-graduate neurology training in teaching hospitals at Bombay Hospital and Institute of Medical Sciences in Bombay, India, The National Hospital and Institute for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square in London, UK, The Walton Center for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Liverpool, UK, SUNY Brooklyn in New York He received his fellowship training in epileptology at the Montefiore Medical Center – The University Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Dr Singh also received training in District, General and Community hospitals including: Sriganganagar District General Hospital in Rajasthan, India, Halifax Royal Infirmary, UK, Colchester General Hospital in Colchester, UK, Brooklyn Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, Maimaonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, and Staten Island University Hospital in New York.
In 2001, Singh became assistant professor and attending neurologist at SUNY Downstate and Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, New York. As an Epileptologist, he was also associate director of the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and the director of EGG labs.
Singh is currently on faculty at the Meharry Medical College, School of Medicine as an assistant professor and attending neurologist in the Department of, Neurology and is also a consultant Neurologist at Nashville Metropolitan General Hospital. He has a clinical appointment at Vanderbilt University Medical Center as an Epileptologist.

 
Research Interests

Dr. Singh’s research interest is in Clinical epileptology with emphasis on improving the care of patients with Epilepsy via novel drug treatments; education and other comprehensive modalities
