General Accounting
is responsible for maintaining the general ledger
and the College's financial accounting system.
Its staff posts entries to the general ledger
and monitors and reconciles transactions flowing
from other systems, i.e. Student Information,
Institutional Advancement and Treasury Services.
It is also responsible for account analysis and
various reconciliations. Recording and maintenance
of fixed assets as well as managing and reporting
unclaimed property is a function of General Accounting.
All payroll and tax returns are prepared by this
area.
