Roland E. Jones, MPA, is Department Administrator for Department of Internal Medicine at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn. As Department Administrator of the Department of Internal Medicine under the direction of the Department Chair, Roland is responsible for the management of the department’s fiscal, budgetary, contracts and grants management, patient accounts, personnel, and facilities of the department in adherence to institutional policies. Roland directs and supports the operational and financial mechanisms necessary for the department to fulfill its mission in the areas of teaching, clinical care, research and service. Roland is also responsible for other administrative matters including personnel administration, clinical operational management, marketing, and strategic planning.
