What is Meharry Gmail?
Meharry Gmail or email.mmc.edu is the domain used for the Google Apps and is the new home for student email. The account is branded with Meharry logo and colors. However, the service is hosted by Google.
Why did we move student e-mail to Google?
Students has requested for more space for some time now as well as a life long account. Students now have over 7gb of space compared to the previous 50mb and a permanent
e-mail address.
How much space do I have for my e-mail?
Google gives over 7gb of space versus the 50mb that was given to you on exchange.
What is my new e-mail address?
Your email address will consist of your network username@email.mmc.edu. For example, username@email.mmc.edu.
What happens to my old e-mail address?
You will be able to access your email on Microsoft Outlook exchange until June 1, 2010. In other words, you will be receiving email in both locations until Juune 1, 2010. Please let your contacts know your new email address as soon as possible.
How do I reset my Gmail password?
You will need to call the Help Desk to reset your Meharry Gmail password. You can change your Google password by going to settings in your account.

You can download the Google Email Uploader to export your mail to your new Gmail account.
What is the difference between Gmail folders and labels?
Gmail doesn't use folders. Gmail uses labels to help you organize your mail.
Who has an account on Google?
All students are automatically given a Google email account. Faculty and staff do not have a Google account.

Faculty and staff will continueto access students email addresses from the address book in Microsoft Exchange.
What if I am a faculty or staff member as well as a student?
If you are a Meharry employee and a student, you will only receive an employee account. If you
become student only, you will receive a Meharry Gmail account.
What if I already have a Gmail address or an account with Google?
Your Meharry Google account is separate from all other accounts you have with Google and cannot be combined.
How do I access the new Meharry Gmail?
You can access Meharry Gmail by visiting email.mmc.edu
Can I access my account from mail programs on my computer?

Can I get to my mail from my phone?
If your phone works with Google Mobile application, http://www.google.com/mobile/products/mail.html#p=default you will be able to setup your account to receive mail via your phone
