Two of three core functions of the IT Support Services group, Web Development and Media Services serve the entire campus community offering various services to both faculty, staff, and departments across campus.
Because the World Wide Web provides an opportunity for Meharry Medical College to communicate and share information both inside and outside the institution, Information Technology Support Services offers Web development services and consultation to all schools, divisions and departments.
Through this campus Web site, Meharry is able to project its mission, values, structure, and organization, as well as its commitment to service to under-served communities and to educating and preparing future healthcare professionals for the challenges and rewards of their fields.
The Internet can promote the efficient and effective, internal operation of the College by providing access to information. In addition, the Internet has become an integral tool in the education and research areas of Meharry and, therefore, can further the College's education and research missions.
The Meharry Web site is designed to meet the needs of external and internal constituencies, including students, prospective students, parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and media, allowing Meharry to provide useful, accurate, and timely information to these constituencies.
