Meharrians Successfully Complete 6th Medical Mission Trip to Belize
Voluntary Missionary Work Supports Meharry Motto
“Worship of God Through Service to Mankind”
Dr. Bernard Turner, Associate Vice President for Corporate and Foundation Relations at Meharry Medical College and other Meharrians have returned from a 10-day medical missionary trip to Belize. This is the sixth mission trip coordinated by The Temple Church who took 29 of members on the trip, including 10 Meharrians who are also members of the church. The team set up medical clinics in six villages to provide medical services to more than 1,000 people. Medical care included pediatric care, women’s health, general medicine, dentistry and pharmacy. A total of 1,951 prescriptions were filled. Other Meharrians who participated in the mission are listed below:
