Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic

Oral surgery residents are on emergency call seven days per week, twenty-four hours per day for the Metropolitan Nashville General Hospital at Meharry.

Services provided by the oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic:

• dento-alveolar surgery
• treatment of odontogenic infections
• management and treatment of facial trauma
• pain and anxiety control
• management of pathological processes
• orthognathic and tempromandibular surgery
• pre-prosthetic surgery
• implant placement

Patients have the option of using nitrous oxide or intravenous (IV) sedation.
