Ross Fitness and Recreation Center
Through the generous contributions of Dr. David E. Ross and his family, the Ross Fitness and Recreation Center enhances the student experience at Meharry Medical College by providing another way for students to enjoy physical fitness and improve/maintain physical health.
Our facilities include:
- Full basketball court
- Weight room equipped with two, 42-inch television screens
- Aerobics room, equipped with one, 42-inch television screen
2014 - 2015 Fitness Class Schedule
*All classes are scheduled from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. and are taught by professionals certified in the area they instruct.
Fall 2014 fitness classes will begin the week of September 1, 2014.
Located inside the Elam Mental Health Center in a specifically designated area, the Ross Center has a separate entrance for students and members.
All students are required to complete a Ross Fitness Center Participation Waiver upon enrollment at Meharry Medical College.
The Office of Student Life plans and facilitates co-ed intramural softball and basketball each year. Softball season is during the Fall Semester and basketball is during the Spring Semester. Each individual player will need to complete an Intramural Sports Program Waiver/Consent Agreement and each team will need to complete a Team Roster Form for each sport.

2014 Intramural Softball Season will begin September 15th!
Games will be scheduled on Monday and Thursday evenings at 6, 7 and 8 p.m. and Saturday mornings at 9, 10 and 11 a.m. Below is the link to the Fall 2014 Intramural Softball Schedule.
Employees of Meharry Medical College are eligible to join the Ross Fitness Center by completing the forms below and returning them to the Department of Human Resources.
