Get Adobe Acrobat Professional installed on your computer. Fill out a Software Order Form and send it to the Office of Information Technology (OIT); OIT will install the program on your computer. The cost is $165; if you do not have an account from which to pay this, see if your departmental chair will pay for it to be installed on your computer, or on one computer in the department where it can be shared. Adobe Acrobat Professional is the most common software for converting Word and other files to the format known as “PDF”; NIH and many other research sponsors require you to submit your application in PDF format.
