health disparities research center

The Health Disparities Research Center (formerly known as EXPORT) examines how society, economics, culture, behavior, and biology impact health, with the aim of involving the community in the research process and improving the health and well-being of ethnic and racial minorities.

It is a collaboration of the Nashville Health Disparities Coalition and the Metro Public Health Department of Davidson County (Tennessee) and is funded by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities. Contact Principal Investigator Paul Juarez, Ph.D., in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at 615.327.5506 for information about the center's projects and partnerships or visit the National Health Disparities Research Center of Excellence website.
