2011-2012 Academic Year
Dear Student Loan Recipients:
The College has changed its policy of issuing financial aid refunds checks. Effective January 1, 2008, Meharry Medical College will no longer issue paper financial aid refund checks for students. Meharry students receiving financial aid refunds will be required to have direct deposit as the method of receiving their credit balances.
Direct deposit is a method of electronic funds transfer of the credit balance of your net federal student financial aid after your tuition and fees balance have been satisfied. This credit will be refunded from your Meharry Medical College student account to your individual checking or savings account.
After completing the Direct Deposit Agreement, please return this form along with a voided ‘preprinted’ check or a letter from your financial institution regarding your checking or savings account.
Please allow one to two weeks for proper processing.
If you change your checking or savings account(s) or change banks, you must complete a new form and submit a voided check from your new account.
If additional information is needed, feel free to stop by the Office of Student Financial Aid, located in the Henry A. Moses building. Our office is usually open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or call the office at (615) 327-6826.
Sincerely,
Barbara Tharpe, Director
Office of Student Financial Aid
